The Fall Movement...

While we are still in the middle of Spring 2012 overload, I didn't want to overlook the changing season before us. As the days get shorter and the temperatures drop we are slowly easing into fall (my favorite)! I wanted to pick the brains of some of the most stylish people I know to see what they are anticipating for the coming chill!

Keep checking back to see who's up and what they are longing for!

Pictionary...

What happens when you put these four images together???

You get an outfit like this that knocks it out of the park. I absolutely adore the pattern play, pop of color, and the cozier than though oversized sleeve wrap around scarf. Every element holds its own! A fall/winter must have look!

Street Sweeper...

As of late my style has been changing in extremes. I went from neutral everything to outbursts of obnoxious colors, heels to sneakers, harems to micro minis and now floor sweeping numbers. I'm all for the notion of being sexy while covered up. Took a quick browse around the web today and stumbled upon these beauties in my search.

A:: I saw this dress at the Alexander Wang store last week and thought, "Oh man we have a 90's revival on our hands". Now giving it a second look I've fallen head over heels. Panne velvet in burgundy only ups the elegance factor.

B:: My roommate tipped me off to this dress at Zara. Long sleeves with a sky high slit is the epitome of covert sexiness. I love when a woman is comfortable enough to be completely covered--speaks volumes of one's confidence.

C:: Another wine stained dress, this time by DVF. The designer is notorious for flattering every body shape with her wrap dress and this one with a floor grazing length is no exception (I think I have a new obsession with all things in the bordeaux family).

D:: T by Alexander Wang really hit the mark this season. This dress is the perfect foundation to be bold and over accessorize-- channel substantial rings and door knockers earrings or swap out for a statement necklace and a stack of thin subtle bracelets.

I have a few weddings towards the end of the year and this is exactly what I want to wear. I spotted the look and thought, "Get it, Got it, Good!" The T by Alexander Wang Panne velvet slip dress executed to perfection with a chic long necklace, hip skimming cardigan, and a not too fancy clutch. Just imagine my fox fur coat draped over as I make my way to/from the ceremony and reception!!

One Shoe Out the Coo Coo's Nest...

You know what I have to say on these bad boys already {blogged about them here, here, here, oh wait, here too!}! That said, you can only image my excitement when I heard there was a store in the city that still had them in stock. Friday afternoon I couldn't get uptown fast enough but once I arrived luck was on my side. My size was in stock in the bordeaux/black and black/black combos. With one on each foot I stood in the mirror gazing longingly and unsure which would be the best fit...

Ahhhh I did it!!!! I pulled the trigger, came home with the bordeaux pair, and couldn't be happier. Prepare yourself for many a wardrobe diary including these little gems!

Yes Please...

Just a quick look at what has been living on my desktop the last couple of days.

Officially obsessed with this tiny skill ring, perfect for everyday wear.

I'm a little embarrassed to want this denim skirt as bad as I do--resurrection of the late 90's jeans into a denim skirt. I'm imagining it paired with, you guessed it, Marant wedge sneakers!

I adore this image...long hair, bare skin, and fur! What could be better?!

Double plaid all the way across the sky= GENIUS, a definite fall must.

One of the coolest closets I've seen in a while. The rack is molded from a tree branch. One day my clothes will get to live in this lap of luxury!
